Hatenkou Yuugi:A young girl named Rahzel is booted out of her house one day by her father with the instructions to 'see the world.' And so her journey begins, However, she won't be doing it alone for she befriends a stoic young man named Alzeid seeking revenge for his father's murder.
Alzeid and Rahzel are like oil and water ... but even still, they feel strangely drawn to one another. This could be either the result of an underlying attraction -- or their shared powers with magic. And so, the two reluctant allies travel from town to town, using their powers to help the helpless, while discovering their own respective places in the world.
What I thought:
I thought that Hatenkou Yuugi was a fantastic anime, it had everything that i enjoy watching, action, adventure, magic and a tiny itty bit of romance. Although I wish they had made more and even though the ending was good yet not, you think oh how sweet what a nice ending then bam a kind of cliff hanger, and you just realise the end of the anime is only the begining of the wacky, weird yet fantastic character's journey. I doubt their will be another season cause i dont think it was that popular, but I'll definately be picking up the manga!
Saiunkoku Monogatari:Saiunkoku is a world of eight provinces or houses, each named after a different colour. The new Emperor, Shi Ryuuki, has gained for a reputation for being uninterested in courtly matters and for flaunting his love for men. Shuurei, although born of the important Kou family, has difficulty making ends meet. She easily accepts an invitation to be the Emperor's concubine in order to turn him into a good ruler. The mysterious Seiran, a young man who was adopted by her father, goes with her as Ryuuki's bodyguard. Entering the imperial palace revives Shuurei's dream of being a court official, and, together with the many companions she meets along the way, continues moving bravely forward while trying to fend off the Emperor's advances.
What I thought:
This has been on my want to watch list for a while so I decided to watch it and see what I thought after i read an article in an old Newtype magazine. first thought was, oooh pretty, second thought was, fantastic! I love history, so I thought the plot of the anime was great, and I was really enjoying it.. then it ended the way it did and thought, ****** **** ***** - in other words, nothing that i can really write in here lol.
All I can say it was great for a 50 episode series, didnt get repetitive and it kept you interested, only negative thing was by the end they are dragging the romance on and on in another couple of 50+ episode seasons. and that is were i will loose interest, a million more love interests, characters being stupid and although the light novels aren't finished, I dont think I'll be able to pick up this again until theres a definate end, if there ever will be.
Final Fantasy: The Spirits WithinA planet is overrun by a mysterious group of creatures that infect and destroy all life on Earth. Only the determination of a single woman to find a cure will prevent the world from slowly being eaten away. Yet there are those from within who are impatient for results and will do anything to win this war.
What I thought:
I'm not a big fan of Final Fantasy, I've enjoyed previous movies but i really loved this movie, dont know why, but probably because it had action and had interesting sci-fi elements, and of course the romance element lol. I would definately watch this over and over and recommend others to try it out too.

Shion no Ou:
Shion no Ou follows the story of Yasuoka Shion, a 13 year old Shougi player with a past of tragedy. Shion's parents were brutally murdered in front of her when she was 5 years old. The murderer sat down with her and challenged her to a game of Shougi, after telling her that if she wanted to stay alive she should forget how to speak, and forget what happened that night.
Now Shion has entered the realm of female pro Kishi, mute but strong. As her playing gathers more and more attention, so do the questions about her past and the brutal murder she witnessed. Shion's memories slowly come back, and the mystery begins to unravel, thread by thread.
What I thought: fantastic, brilliant, amazing!! I've saved the best for last, Shion no Ou, would have to be one of my top favourites now, the anime is great, it has great animation, is different than the usual, has a fantastic storyline, a great mystery that keeps you thinking all throughout the anime trying to guess who the killer is, a tiny suggestion of romance, and it makes Shougi (kind of like chess, but very different) very very interesting, and watching the characters play never gets boring, I was really surprised with how good this anime was and I would Highly suggest everyone to watch it ^_^ you will definately not regret it.
So has anyone seen any of them or is anyone thinking of watching one of them? what did you think!?Well other than those I've just started Macross Frontier, which I'm loving at the moment, although I heard it has a bad ending. i've also started, Princess Tutu, which I'm finding really weird but enjoyable, Mnemosyne; strange but good lol, annd Lovely Complex which is growing on me with each episode.
